How to find the best all natural, plastic free mascara for you!

We recently had a customer ask us: "What's the difference between your 'Black' and 'Brown' Mascaras?”
If you’re also wondering about how to use cake mascara or how many ways can you use it as a clean beauty item then this article is for you!
So first things first! I personally (it’s me, Kelsey! Creative Director and Co-Owner of Birch Babe!) took both our Cake Mascara in 'Black' and 'Brown' to the test to see how they match up on two different eye lashes and eyebrows. Below are the results!

Black Mascara: I would normally always opt for Black Mascara on my lashes for the dramatic effect! However I found it to be a bit too dark on my eyebrows! My hair is slightly lighter these days and the Black was a bit too much of a contrast.
Brown Mascara: As mentioned, I most often use Black Mascara however I was pleasantly surprised with how well the Brown Mascara worked for a more subtle everyday look. I LOVED the Brown Mascara look on my eyebrows though! WOW! Why have I not done this sooner?
Overall: I would still opt for the Black Mascara or my lashes and perhaps an eye liner look (if I were brave enough to do a more dramatic makeup look). I will definitely be rocking the Brown Mascara on my eye brows more often!

Curious How to Wear Cake Mascara?
First, let’s start with the steps:
Step 1: Open your mascara cake tin.
Step 2: Open your reusable travel friendly wand.
Step 3: Wet wand under tap, in a bowl/cup of water or, spray mascara cake with water.
Step 4: Roll wand over mascara cake until covered.
Step 5: Make sure to wet the wand and re-roll in the mascara cake to create a creamy paste.
Step 6: Wipe off excess mascara from wand on the tin edge.
Step 7: Apply mascara to lashes with wand.
Step 8: Repeat depending on desired look.
Step 9: Let lashes dry for 1-2 minutes.
Step 10: Wipe the edges of the mascara tin and close the lid.
Step 11: Wash wand after each use with soap & water to keep clean between uses.
Step 12: Store mascara wand in a cup to dry. Then close back up in it's travel friendly case!
Step 13: Admire healthy, toxin free lashes.
Step 14: Enjoy the day!
