After extensive research and a commitment to be as plastic free as possible we made the deliberate choice to utilize PCR plastic for Birch Baby packaging. PCR plastic, short for Post-Consumer Recycled material, encompasses a variety of recycled plastics, such as rPET, rPP, and rHDPE, which are collected, reprocessed, and transformed into new packaging, contributing to reduced plastic waste and a cleaner planet. 

While we initially explored alternatives like aluminum, glass, and package-free options, our exhaustive research and discussions with parents revealed that these materials posed usability challenges and potential safety hazards for babies. PCR plastic emerged as the responsible choice, offering both sustainability and safety for our little ones.
